At Calluna Graphix, sustainability is something we care deeply about — and not just in the work we do for our clients. From minimising waste at events to making eco-conscious choices in our day-to-day operations, we're always looking for ways to reduce our impact.
So while the stands we build are on-site, the green habits often start at home — including composting!
We’ve recently added a HOTBIN composting system to our household setup (find out more here), which means even the smallest bits of office and workshop waste are being put to good use.
Why compost at home for work? Because a surprising amount of our day-to-day waste — even from a business like ours — can be reused:
Shredded office documents
Cardboard packaging from supplies
Tea bags (an essential part of any British workspace!)
Our HOTBIN composts it all quickly and efficiently, helping turn shredded paper and food scraps into nutrient-rich compost for the garden. With a growing interest in pollinator-friendly planting and small-scale sustainability, this felt like the right next step.
We’ll be sharing a few updates along the way — including what you can and can’t compost, and whether the shredded paper really does help with odour control!
Have your own composting tips? Let us know — we’re always learning and love hearing how others are building eco habits into everyday life.
At Calluna Graphix, even our tea breaks come with a side of sustainability. 🌱
